ANNUAL SERVICE PROJECTS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Our Signature Project:

Each year, near Christmas, we take between 50 and 75 children from the Collinsville Illinois School District shopping for clothing at our local Kohl’s store. The children have been selected by the school district because of need. After shopping, we go with the children and their families to a local bowling alley for bowling, a pizza party, a visit from Santa. The bowling alley supplies the children and families with toys and food baskets. Kohl’s helps by giving “Kohl’s Cash” for our purchases. We use this to provide car seats and “Pack and Plays” to the Riverbend Head Start program for their safe sleep and safe travel programs.

Other Projects:

SOS -Spirit of Sharing Soup Kitchen-We serve between 175-250 patrons 4 times a year at a local soup kitchen

Working with and at Willoughby Heritage Farm

Reading Program-Partnering with other local service organizations to read to children in the schools and to provide each child in the class with a book to take home.

Marion Medical Missions support
